In 2006 I found myself pregnant and in a not-right-for-me relationship but I didn’t know it at the time. We made it work to the best of our abilities, and lived happily, or so I thought, for the first three years and in 2009 I found myself suddenly on the single parent journey. It was not part of my family plan, to say the least. I walked myself and my son through the difficult and often painful path of having two homes and continue to navigate the ups and downs of co-parenting with his father ‘til this day. Luckily, we have more ups than downs.
In the last ten years, since becoming a single parent, I have gained achievements in ways I thought would only remain dreams: in 2015, I completed my Bachelors in Psychology (a childhood dream), in 2017 I became a certified Yoga Teacher, and in 2019 became a certified Parent Coach. In addition, I have taken countless courses on Self-Love, the Enneagram for Parenting & Personal Development, Reiki & Energy, the Power of Prayer, and so much more.
I’ve led children’s yoga and meditation classes as well as workshops and classes for adults.
Along with all of those achievements, my greatest achievement has been getting to know myself as a woman and a parent. With this deeper understanding of myself has come compassion, gentleness, strength, and an owning of myself. This has absolutely transformed not only my relationship with myself but also with my son and my beloved ones, family and friends.
I weave parenting education and coaching based on my degree and certifications, and I also bring life skills and knowledge through all that I have studied, experienced, and continue to practice on a daily basis. I blend all of the tools that continue to help anchor and transform me into my coaching style, such as: Self-Compassion practices by Tim Desmond, Non-Violent Communication (NVC) tools by Marshall Rosenberg, Positive Parenting practices, the Wisdom of the Enneagram by Russ Hudson, yogic principles based on the Eight Limbs of Yoga, body-mind-heart connection of yoga asana, Attachment Theory by Amir Levine, M.D. & Rachel Heller, M.A., and Emergent Strategy and Pleasure Activism by Adrienne Maree Brown, and so much more.
